Senior Julie Walroth added two more honors to her outstanding accomplishments this year. Walroth was recognized as the Missouri Valley Conference Libero of the Year and was also voted by the league's coaches to the MVC All-Conference first team for the second straight year.

"We are proud of Julie and what she's done for this program." said head coach Mike Swan. "She has been a huge contributor for four years and is really deserving. It is quite an accomplishment to be among many phenomenal players."

Becoming the second back-to-back Libero of the Year in MVC history, she averaged 6.54 digs per game to lead the league. The three-time 2007 MVC Defensive Player of the Week made history this season as she passed former Evansville standout Julie Groves on the all-time digs list to set a new MVC and UE record with 2,095.

Walroth is the only UE player to receive All-Conference honors since 2004 and the first player to make the scholar-athlete team since 2001.  The Cincinnati, Ohio native was recently voted to the ESPN The Magazine All-Academic District team. With 656 digs this season, Walroth ranked fourth in the NCAA for digs and broke her previous UE record of 651 digs in 2006.

Walroth concluded her career as only one of 25 players in NCAA history to have 2,000 digs for their career.
