Although their lives started different, seniors Rachel Robinson and Ginta Gabruseva’s path led them both to the University of Evansville volleyball team. Now with the last game of the 2009 season on Friday versus Southern Illinois at 7:00 p.m. at Carson Center, the girls’ roads will veer off in new directions but always lead back to UE.

OMAHA, Neb.—After having trouble against the block on Friday night at Drake, the University of Evansville volleyball team found its trouble facing the team again on Saturday, as the Aces (13-16, 6-11 MVC) fell at Creighton (12-15, 9-7 MVC) by a score of 3-1 (19-25, 25-20, 15-25, 23-25).

DES MOINES, Iowa— Despite a 15-kill night from junior Emily Wandersee, the Aces (13-15, 6-10 MVC) fell to Drake (20-10, 8-7 MVC) by a score of 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 23-25, 21-25).

Three games are all that are left to decide if the University of Evansville volleyball team will continue its season at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament during the Thanksgiving holiday. The Aces (13-17, 6-9 MVC) are in the thick of it with four other teams, and the team travels to face two of them this weekend in Drake and Creighton.
