BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The University of Evansville cross country teams wrapped up the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Saturday with the men’s team led by Ryan Witters to finish 25-of-30 and the women’s team led by Lauren Zeabart to finish 27-of-32.

The University of Evansville cross country teams will travel to Peoria, Illinois on Saturday to take part in the 2009 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championships.  The championships will begin at 10:30 a.m. central time with the men’s 8-K race, while the women’s 5-K race will follow at 11:30.

Spurred by an individual title by Matt Schiffbauer, the Marshall University men’s cross country team won a hotly-contested men’s 8-K team title on Saturday at the 2009 University of Evansville Cross Country Invitational, while the Murray State women raced to the team title in the women’s 5-K meet at the UE Cross Country Course in Evansville.
