Biography

2014: Gurski was the Aces top pitcher and offensive player during her junior season with the team. Megan played second base, pitcher and was a power hitter for UE. She made 30 appearances for Evansville in the circle, starting 23 games and throwing eight complete games. In 144.2 innings of work, Gurski struck out 121 batters and recorded two saves to go along with a 3.63 ERA and a 9-13 record. The transfer was the lone Purple Ace to win a MVC Player of the Week award as she was named MVC Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 31. Offensively Gurski led the team with a .353 batting average, starting 47 games for the squad and recorded 54 hits, 20 runs, 17 extra base hits, including seven homeruns and had 28 RBIs. Gurski was walked six times and had one hit by pitch to go along with a .562 fielding percentage. 

Background:  In 2013 Megan transferred and played at Jefferson College (Community College) in Hillsboro, Missouri.  Pitching mostly, she had a record of 26-3 with 272 strike outs in 189 innings pitched, and an ERA of 0.81.  Offensively, she hit .481 with 6 doubles, 2 triples, and 9 Home Runs in 129 At Bats.

Megan was also selected to the 2013-14 Canadian Women's National Team Athlete Pool.

As a Freshman at Southern Utah University, playing mostly second base, Megan played in 39 games and hit .280 in 93 At Bats.
