EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville sophomore golfer Kayla Katterhenry has been named to the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete Team in an announcement by the league.
 
An All-Conference player in her first two seasons at UE, Katterhenry has a GPA of 3.66 and is a management major.
 
She won the third event of her career in March at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, pacing the 62 participants with a 3-over 145 in the two rounds of play in Sevierville, Tenn.  Katterhenry was on an absolute roll in the first five events of the spring.
 
Katterhenry posted top five finishes in her first five tournaments of the spring, including the win in Tennessee and a tie for second place at the Samford Intercollegiate.  She is on pace to become the first female golfer to finish with a sub-80 average in program history.
