EVANSVILLE, Ind. – On Thursday afternoon, University of Evansville women’s basketball head coach Oties Epps announced the signing of Dakota Weatherford, a 5-foot-5-inch guard from Arcadia, Ind., to a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to continue her academic and athletic career at Evansville. Weatherford will join the Purple Aces for the 2013-14 campaign.

Notable: Averaged 19.5 points, 7.4 steals, 7.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game as a senior…led the state of Indiana with 198 total steals…shot 47 percent from the field, 39 percent from three-point range and 77 percent from the free throw line as a senior…tallied 1131 career points and 458 career steals…led Hamilton Heights to its first ever IHSAA State Championship finals appearance in boys or girls basketball…
