EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- University of Evansville head men’s soccer coach
Mike Jacobs and his staff have announced the signing of six recruits to National Letters of Intent. The class includes key contributors in the United States Soccer Development Academy, highlighting one of the top classes in the nation. The newest Purple Aces include Ryan Coates (Springboro, Ohio), Vincent DiPrimio (Bloomington, Ind.), Faik Hajderovic (St. Louis, Mo.), William “Mack” Hasinger (Morton, Ill.), Nate Opperman (Olathe, Kan.) and Kyle Wilson (Evansville, Ind.).
“We believe that adding this incoming group gives us quality personnel and depth in every position, and we should have all the pieces we need to be an outstanding team,” said Jacobs. “We are excited to welcome this group to the University of Evansville Purple Aces family.”
COATES, Ryan
5-8* 150* Springboro, Ohio* Springboro HS
Coates will come to the University of Evansville with extensive experience in both the US Soccer Development Academy and playing in the USYSA. Ryan competed with the 15/16 Ohio Elite team in the USSDA, and currently plays for the Blast FC team that has been Ohio South State Finalists in 2010 and 2011. His performance at the youth level enabled him with the opportunity to train at the youth academy of Chelsea FC. The team MVP and first team all-region at Springboro High School, Coates also has been a regular on the Ohio South Olympic Development Program team. Coates was an Aces Soccer Camp All-Star in 2010 and 2011, and was named the camp’s Most Valuable Player in 2011.

DIPRIMIO, Vincent
5-10* 165* Bloomington, Ind.* Bloomington HS North
DiPrimio is an industrious central midfielder who is very active on both sides of the ball. He has been a mainstay and key contributor for the Indiana United Fire Academy of the United States Soccer Development Academy. DiPrimio has been a standout at the high school level as well, having been recognized as an all-state honoree for Bloomington High School North as both a junior and senior. During his high school career, DiPrimio helped lead Bloomington High School North to four sectional titles and one regional title. He was recognized as a member of the 2011 ESPN Indiana All-State Starting 11. A standout on the field and in the classroom, DiPrimio is also a member of the National Honor Society.

HAJDEROVIC, Faik
5-8* 145* St. Louis, Mo.* Mehlville Senior HS
Hajderovic is a dynamic attacking player, and is regarded as one of the top goal scoring prospects in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The leading goal scorer for the Saint Louis Scott Gallagher Metro team of the United States Soccer Development Academy, Hajderovic was recognized as a member of the 2011 ESPN Missouri All-State Starting 11. He was key in leading his club team to USYSA Missouri State Cup Championships at the Under-13, Under-14 and Under-15 levels before going to join the USSDA. Hajderovic was an Aces Soccer Camp All-Star in 2011.
JACOBS ON HAJDEROVIC – “Faik has the potential to be a dangerous attacking player at the collegiate level. He can create and finish scoring chances, and always puts himself in threatening spots with and without the ball.”
HASINGER, William “Mack”
5-10* 145* Morton, Ill.* Morton HS
Hasinger is a versatile attacking player who can play in the midfield or up front. He plays for Saint Louis Scott Gallagher Metro of the US Soccer Development Academy, and was the team’s second leading scorer a year ago – including two game-winning goals. Hasinger is a teammate of fellow incoming classmate Faik Hajderovic on SLSG Metro. An All-State selection at Morton High School, he helped his team to a school record in goals scored (104) and wins in a season (21). Hasinger was selected as his team MVP, as well as to the 2011 Peoria Journal Star All-Area Team, and as MVP of Mid Illini Conference in the Peoria Sports Verein High School Soccer Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game.
JACOBS ON HASINGER – “Mack is a creative attacking player. He can create and finish scoring chances, and can do so out of midfield or out on the flanks.”
OPPERMAN, Nate
6-0* 170* Olathe, Kan.* Olathe South HS
Opperman has been a successful goal scorer at the youth and high school levels. A charter member of the Sporting Kansas City developmental academy in the USSDA, he received the 2011 Bob Gansler Award as the Most Outstanding Sporting Kansas City Junior player. As a member of the Sporting Kansas City 15/16 team in 2011, Opperman was the team’s leading scorer and paved the way for SKC to advance into the United States Soccer Development Academy Playoffs. He also participated in and led Sporting Kansas City in scoring in the prestigious Generation Adidas Cup for Major League Soccer youth academy teams. A four-year starter at Olathe South High School, Opperman led his team to a Kansas State Championship and runner-up finish during his career.
JACOBS ON OPPERMAN – “Nate has been a proficient goal scorer at every level he has played at, but what makes him special is an outstanding work-ethic and ability to compete. The combination of those attributes, along with his ability to create and finish scoring chances, will make him an asset immediately.”
WILSON, Kyle
5-11* 150* Evansville, Ind.* Mater Dei HS
Wilson comes to the University of Evansville after an outstanding career at the high school and youth levels. Wilson has been one of the key contributors for the Evansville Soccer Club team which won the 2010 Indiana Youth Soccer Association State Championship and has been state finalists three times. Wilson is coached at ESC by former University of Evansville coach Fred Schmalz. His Mater Dei High School team was 2011 Indiana State finalists, and were sectional champions for three consecutive years. ESPN credited Wilson for being tied for 12th in the nation for assists, and he was recognized as a member of the 2011 ESPN Indiana All-State Starting 11 and as a McDonald's All-America Finalist. A member of the Indiana Olympic Development Program, Wilson is a three-time Aces Soccer Camp All-Star.
JACOBS ON WILSON – “Kyle has grown up around Aces Soccer, and it is massive for us to be able to have members of our program who ‘bleed purple.’ His athleticism and versatility makes him someone that has the potential to contribute in a number of different roles.”
