CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Three players shot between 82 and 84 for the University of Evansville women's golf team Monday as the Aces cut 16 strokes from Sunday's first round and finished 14th at the Saluki Invitational, played at Hickory Ridge Golf Course. Maggie Wood (82), Lauren Ellerman (83) and Emily Johnson (84) led the way Monday for UE. Johnson was Evansville's top finisher overall, coming in 50th with a 36-hole score of 170.

Indiana State shot the best round of the day Monday and edged Drake for the team title by one stroke, 617-618. Drake's Olivia Lansing earned medalist honors with rounds of 71 and 74 for 1-over-par 145. Coach Jim Hamilton's Aces play again April 10-11 at the Lady Colonel Classic at Richmond, Ky. It will be the final tournament before Evansville hosts the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship April 18-20 at Rolling Hills Country Club in Newburgh.
