The University of Evansville men's golf team has been chosen as a national All-Academic Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Coach Jim Hamilton's squad compiled a team grade point average of 3.19 in the most recent grading period. A team-wide GPA of 3.0 or better is necessary to earn the GCAA national award.

UE golfers Ryan Linsner and Matt Hunsaker were two of seven UE student-athletes who earned the 2008-09 Presidents Council Award from the Missouri Valley Conference. It is the highest academic award presented to MVC student-athletes.

The GCAA is the professional association of men’s golf coaches. Established in 1958, the non-profit organization is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing its members who participate in men’s golf at all levels.
