After a dominating performance at this past weekend's Aces Fall Classic, junior tennis player Kate Chybowski (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) has been named this week's UE Student-Athlete of the Week.

Chybowski cruised to the Flight 1 singles title at the Aces Fall Classic, dropping just three games in three matches on her way to the title.  Chybowski finished the singles tournament strong, not dropping a single game in her last three sets of play against competitors from Eastern Kentucky and Western Kentucky.

Chybowski also took home the Flight A doubles title with sophomore Theadora Kotsiou, as the duo rolled through the bracket with a pair of 8-3 and 8-2 victories over Morehead State's top two doubles teams after receiving a bye in the first round.

For Chybowski, it marks the third-straight year in which she has won a singles flight championship at the Aces Fall Classic.  Chybowski and the Purple Aces will now travel north to East Lansing, Michigan this weekend to take part in the Michigan State Spartan Invitational on Friday through Sunday.  The tournament will be a homecoming for UE head coach Christine Bader, who was a two-time all-Big Ten selection for the Spartans from 2005 through 2008.
