The University of Evansville women's swimming & diving team has earned the College Swim Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America award for compiling a team grade point average of 3.0 or better. The Purple Aces' team GPA of 3.43 in the spring semester was the 19th best among the more than 100 schools that qualified for the national award. It was the fifth time in the last seven years that Head Coach Rickey Perkins' squad has received the honor.

"I am extremely proud of this team for being in the top 20 academically in the country," said Head Coach Rickey Perkins. "They are a committed group of women who take pride in their own and the team's academic performance. They have done a wonderful job of representing this university and athletics department. "
