For their success in the classroom, 130 University of Evansville student-athletes were recognized Tuesday morning at the annual Student-Athlete Academic Honors Breakfast at Eykamp Hall in the Ridgway University Center.
The student-athletes had to earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher during at least one semester of the 2008-2009 academic year to participate. Student-athletes also invited faculty and staff who have contributed to their academic success.
Guests of the event also listened to speakers, including President Stephen Jennings, Athletics Director John Stanley, and student-athletes Payal Sharma, a member of the women’s tennis team, and Mike Luttrull, a member of the men’s soccer team.
