It’s probably safe to say that University of Evansville senior-to-be pitcher Corey Davisson will have one of the best answers to the question “What did you do on your summer vacation?” this fall when he returns to campus, as on Sunday, Davisson joined Major League Baseball Hall of Famers Brooks Robinson, Paul Molitor, and Bob Feller, among others, on the diamond of Cooperstown’s Doubleday Field for the inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame Classic.

Chris Hollender and Marty Simmons were key ingredients in the University of Evansville basketball program in the 1990s, and today they are together again. After spending the past seven years as an assistant under former UE coach Jim Crews at Army, Hollender has accepted Simmons’ offer to become an assistant coach for the Purple Aces.

ST. LOUIS -- Sarah Solinsky, associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator at the University of Evansville, will serve as the Missouri Valley Conference vice president/senior woman administrator during the 2009-10 school year.

University of Evansville women’s basketball coach Misty Murphy announced on Monday that current Director of Basketball Operations Nicki Motto will be promoted to assistant coach, effective July 1.  Motto will replace former UE assistant coach Hillary Beck, who recently accepted an assistant coaching position at Western Carolina University at the start of June.
