EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The third and final exhibition game for the University of Evansville men's basketball team is set for Thursday evening when the Purple Aces play host to Wabash. Game time is set for 6 p.m. at the Ford Center.
Last week, UE faced SEMO in its second exhibition contest with the Redhawks taking an 89-81 overtime victory. SEMO led by as many as 14 points in the first half before the Purple Aces rallied to take a 4-point lead in the final minute of regulation. A late 3-pointer by SEMO sent the game to overtime where they pulled away for the win.
Makuei Riek was the top scorer for UE finishing with 20 points while Bryce Quinet had 19. AJ Casey finished with nine points and a team-high seven rebounds. Caden Symons added nine tallies while knocking down three triples.
Thursday's game puts UE sophomore Luke Ellspermann against his former squad. As a freshman with the Little Giants last season, Ellspermann was their leading scorer with 15.9 points per game.
Wabash is coming off a 15-11 campaign last season. This is their first exhibition game of the 2026-27 campaign.
