WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.--The University of Evansville swimming & diving team returns to UE after taking second at the Indiana Intercollegiate on Saturday in West Lafayette.

“It was a great meet for us, and we had some great swims,” said Evansville head coach Rickey Perkins. “Our divers also did a great job. Getting second was good for us. We have had great meets all week, and we showed up and swam great for them all. After the fall break, we will go back to work and keep improving.”

For the women, freshman Sadie Wells took the team’s highest placing with third in the three-meter dive. Freshman Jill Enge took fourth in the 200 IM while junior Christina Schmidgall took fourth in the 100 free. Junior Diane Threlkeld placed fourth in the 100 back followed by Alex Howard in fifth. Freshman Michea Reinitz finished fifth in the 100 fly and sixth in the 200 free. Sophomore Hannah Quast took sixth in the 500 free.

Freshman Alex Seward took the highest placing for the men, as Seward placed second in the 100 fly and fifth in the 200 free.
